Global Water Alliance Wastewater Symposium

The symposium was held at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership on April 5th, 2017. The objectives were threefold:

• learn about UN Sustainable Development Goal 6.3 pertaining to wastewater management in developing urban areas and plans to attain the 2030 targets
• examine how to address public health and environmental objectives with innovative technical and financial approaches
• highlight successful approaches to wastewater control, and excrement management in attaining public health and water quality objectives

The discussions were engaging and brought together a wide range of professionals from the Philadelphia area who are working to relieve wastewater challenges.
